Achievement of these goals is supported by the following schoolwide English / Language Arts & Math standards:
  • Understand what words really mean and the ideas they suggest.Understand where words come from and their original intent.
  • Ask questions about what has been read and find the answers to those questions.
  • Expand ideas on readings about events and issues through writing and discussion.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide rational numbers and take rational number to whole-number powers.
  • Convert fractions to decimals and percents and use these representation in estimations, and applications.
  • Solve problems that involve discounts, markups, commissions, and profit and compute simple and compound interest.
