						<description><![CDATA[For the 2011 school year, all students will be required to show they have the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) vaccine to protect themselves against whooping cough.<br><br>Whooping Cough also known as Pertussis, is a highly contagious disease cause by a bacteria that can spread from person to person and through air droplets.  It can cause cold like symptoms such as severe coughing with a high-pitched whoop, vomiting and disturbed sleep.  <br><br>Get the shot at the Health Center on Marshall's campus.  Enter from Griffith Park Blvd.  Health Center Hours:  Mon. & Tues. 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.; Wed. 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. and <br>Thurs. 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.  The clinic is closed on Friday.
